A performer at an early age, dancer, choreographer, actor, and dance-pop-oriented R&B singer Karmela got her feet in the music industry as a backup dancer for the likes of Missy Elliot, Usher, and Mary J. Blige. Turn It Up, her debut album, was released on the Resurrection label in Japan and various parts of Europe in 2007.
